Classically trained, Abe Spigner has appeared in independent and studio films and nationally televised commercials. His most recent roles include the horror film “A Voodoo Possession” and a television spot for Samsung.
Abe has studied at the prestigious The Conservatory for the Performing Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., and Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. He spent six months in England learning and applying his craft at Florida State University’s London campus where he immersed himself in Shakespeare’s works and Commedia Del’Arte. Growth, change and knowledge is essential in acting, so Abe continues to refine his technique with Candace Silvers, whose training also focuses on understanding human behavior.
He has co-starred in the final season of the Emmy-winning “The Office,” the pilot “Friend Me,” and appeared in a recurring role as Flava Fav in Liongate’s “Epic Movie” and “Disaster Movie.” Abe also has an established commercial career, booking spots for Coca-Cola, Nike, Domino’s Pizza and a multiple-spot campaign for Verizon Wireless.
When he’s not on set, the avid sneaker collector enjoys tinkering with his motorcycle and remote-controlled model truck. Music is his second love after acting and, as a DJ, has played at well-known Los Angeles nightspots.
Abe believes that acting’s greatest payoff comes from tackling its many challenges and the discipline involved in completely disappearing into another persona. He looks forward to working in new studio films or the next great series during this Golden Age of television.
